More than words

It's been 6 months since WQ left. I don't think i need to say more about how he must still be dearly missed. Remember when he emotionally prompted us all to give a minute of silence to reflect on the bukit batok campus/council room before we moved out? It turned out to be quite a comical moment for some of us, amidst the sadness that bound us all. Perhaps it's an apt moment now to take a minute off your schedule to think of him... in the spirit of Kopitiam.

somewhat ironical, i remember WQ dearly as the one who would always encourage pple around him to "move on" during difficult times and to be forward-looking, especially during the step-down period of 18th sc.

but nothing against taking a moment, of course.

Time flies! It's been 6 months.... it's contrasting to read about joy of birth and then about the memory of a lost friend...with these conflicting emotions, confusion sets in and it's hard to rejoice/feel sad. I guess that's just the way life is. This just reminds me again to really treasure what I have.
Also, can't help but notice that it's rather quiet these days at Kopitiam. Hopefully, we'll have more kopi lovers dropping by in the next few weeks! Take care!

Last week, I was packing the room and from the sky-high pile of books and paper, something caught my eye. It's WQ's wedding album. I have made one and kept one for myself as portfolio, many years ago. I can still remember his tenderness towards YS and the bond they shared....and the laughters we had when you guys got saboed by having to show your butts. The memories still seem so recent. I probably haven't told him or anyone before, that I sincerely thanked him for giving me the chance to document his wedding. By a stroke of firtune, I ended up having many wonderful shots of his wedding (maybe a result of his tenderness), and that it was HIS photos that helped launch my photography career.
